Our firm has been in existence in Lockport for almost 80 years. The firm was originally headed by Chester S. Grove, Esq., who was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1935, after receiving his Juris Doctor from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law in 1934.
In 1972, 37 years into his practice, Mr. Grove hired Patricia A. George as a paralegal in his small firm. The two worked closely together until, at the urging of Mr. Grove, Mrs. George enrolled in the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she earned her undergraduate and Juris Doctor degrees. Mr. Grove turned his practice over to Mrs. George upon her admittance to the bar in 1991. Mr. Grove continued to work each day in the office until his death in 2003, on his 96th birthday.
Attorneys David Starkey and Marianne Koenig eventually joined the firm and have worked alongside Mrs. George ever since.
The attorneys in the firm focus their practice primarily in the areas of Elder Law, Estate Administration and Estate Planning, Asset Protection, Real Estate Transactions and Planning for Individuals with Disabilities.
